Abstract: Addressing cultural barriers to vocational career advancement is essential for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusivity in the workforce. This study investigates cultural factors that hinder vocational career progression among diverse student populations, focusing on identifying barriers, exploring interventions, and fostering inclusive practices. Objectives include assessing the impact of cultural barriers on vocational career trajectories, exploring students' experiences with cultural diversity in vocational settings, and identifying effective strategies for promoting cultural sensitivity and inclusion. A survey research design is chosen to gather data from 220 participants, including vocational students, educators, and diversity specialists, using purposive sampling to ensure representation across cultural backgrounds in Imo State. Case studies will highlight vocational institutions implementing successful diversity and inclusion initiatives, showcasing effective approaches and their impact on career advancement opportunities. Findings indicate that cultural barriers such as language differences and discriminatory practices negatively affect career progression in vocational fields. Recommendations emphasize implementing cultural competency training for educators and employers, fostering mentorship programs for diverse students, and creating supportive environments that celebrate cultural diversity to enhance vocational career advancement opportunities.
